Festivus Wrap Up

I want to thank everyone for coming out to ride and celebrate the season. We were lucky and had a bit of a break in the weather. There were a few icy patches to look out for next to the river along the trail but everywhere else it was just wet. I'm glad the moon was full on Friday because right now it's 9 degrees out there and treacherous.

I would not have been able to pull this off were it not for the help of friends. Lisa was, as always my calming influence. She passed out the ballots for decoration voting and counted the results while I walked around shaking hands and drinking free Scotch. The Mortborns worked the Ring Toss game and Derek and company handled the Frame Toss judging so big thanks go out to them. Also thanks to the businesses that donated prizes so I would have something to give the winners. The outpouring of support from some of these guys was more than I could have hoped for.

  • The Scoop - Rad Gift Certificates and a Scoop T-shirt. Thanks Elissa and Patrick
  • Neato Burrito - 100% Recycled Gift Card-Boards. Thanks second family.
  • Pedals2People - Parts for the events, Patches and a sweet Camp Stove. I owe you guys.
  • OutThere Monthly - Carabinners and Whistles. The Baby Jesus Boom Box was sweet!
  • North Division Bicycles - T-Shirt, Wool Socks and a Multi-tool. I wanted those socks.
  • Jenefer - Soap Baskets. These were a hit.
  • Wheel Sport on Division - Patch Kits. I hope they are never used.
