About

Here's the skinny.

Originally formed in St. Louis, I brought the format to Spokane in 2007. Our flagship ride is the Full Moon Fiasco which happens right when you think it does. During this ride we meet at a bar, typically The Swamp, and ride to a mystery destination known only to me and a handful of Lifetime Members For Life.

To become a Lifetime Member For Life, a rider simply need to show up on a bike and ride with us. I design and print spoke cards that are collectable reminders of the events that they have attended. I accept donations of one dollar per card, but it is not necessary to donate. The donations go toward bands, DJ's, and prizes that are given away at special event rides such as the Birthday Ride ( the July anniversary of the FBC Spokane), Fiascoween (our October ride) and Festivus (the December ride). Many other rides have themes, and sometimes surprise gifts are given for the hell of it.

Some have tried to compare the FBC rides to a 'critical mass', but our intentions are not the same. While a critical mas has its place in cycling, the FBC does our best to stay in one lane, follow the rules of the road and have lights. Doing these things certainly does not detract from the fun and brings positive attention to cyclist.
