I'll never make enough cards

pictures under the spoke card
Looks like I underestimated the turnout for Fiasco 19. When will I ever learn?

A big thanks to Derek for taking the reigns of the Fucking Bike Club and taking a shit ton of pictures AND for the great write up about the event. Apparently it was fun and it goes a little something like this:

"When I first showed up at The Swamp for Fiasco 19 it was just Therese and me, then Jacque showed up and for 15 minutes or so we thought it was just going to be the three of us. Then, slowly but surely, more and more people piled their bikes onto the rack until it was full. The final count was about 25, there were even some new members on this ride, pretty damn good for a Sunday night in the middle of January. The weather was kind enough to break and give us pretty dry roads and a decent temperature. We left The Swamp and headed north to The Season Ticket (web site pending-directions here), where we were greeted with enthusiasm by the bartenders (I think they tend not to make much money on Sundays), and the lady in charge of karaoke. There was some great "singing" and a lot of shuffleboard playing. Jeff and Lisa were greatly missed, and we were short a couple of other regulars, I look forward to seeing you all on the next ride! A big thanks to Jeff for making the spoke cards."
I wish we could have been there for the first ride of the new year, but there are plenty to come with fun and excitement with each one. We'll have to keep The Season Ticket on the list.

Fiasco 19

It's the first Fiasco of the new year and I couldn't be more excited. Of course if a covey of contractors were to descend onto my house and make it all better that would probably excite me more, but it would be close.

I regret to tell you that I will not be attending this Fiasco. The good doctor and I are headed down home for a brief visit with the family. Using words like "accumulation", "berm" and "impassable" make my mouth hurt. Rest assured we will return with an even thicker drawl that before after saying things like "fixin to", "I reckon" and "More fried items, please". I expect Speare to bring this to my attention with a lot of "Huh?"

This ride will have a leader pro tempore who will lead you on a short, fun filled bike ride. So drag yourself off of the couch and get on your bike. As always, we, er, they will be meeting down at The Swamp at 8:00p.m. on Sunday January 11.

Be sure to take pictures and send them to me. I will post them on the FBC Gallery.
