Does everyone have their fancy duds ready for the Prom Ride? Do you have your corsage or boutonnière? How about a date?
Get on your bike and meet us down at The Swamp. Get there at 7:00pm Saturday and have a drink while everyone stares at us. If you are on the South Hill and would like to shoot downtown with a couple of well dresses bikers, feel free to contact me. We could always start early and make the 'Limo Rounds', so we all show up at once at the bar. It's a thought.
If you are still looking for something to wear, Finders Keepers, Classy Rack, and Goodwill all have an excellent selection.

Stop! It's the moon!
click the spoke card for picturesMeeting again at the Pear Tree Inn, we were disappointed to learn that the cooler was busted so there would be no draft tonight. If you want a cold one, you would have to get the few remaining bottles on ice. No problem.
After some debate about a possible ride to the North side, we started our ride that took us on the scenic route along High Drive and through some bumpy streets to Beniditto's. They did have draft and beer buddies. Right on.
Down, down down to the Baby Bar for some pinball, chips and salsa and a little something to wash it down.
A really good ride punctuated by a speedy descent and a slow crawl up Monroe. Seriously? Why would you do that on purpose?
DON'T FORGET! THE PROM RIDE IS SATURDAY THE 31ST! WEAR SOMETHING NICE.

Bike To Work
CLICK THE PICTURE FOR MORE PICTURESBike to Work Week 08 kicked off with a fun breakfast at Riverside Park. There were pancakes and coffee and muffins and other free stuff. Wednesday, there was a bike pick up at REI where P2P left with more than ten donated bicycles. Friday was the wrap party at the Steam Plant. More free stuff for bikers. I even won a door prize. After which an expedition to the Brown Derby was planned and executed. It was a successful week even though I didn't have a job to bike to.
Got any openings?
FULL MOON FIASCO 11 IS MONDAY! MEET AT THE PEAR TREE INN AT 8.

Fiasco 11
So I'm in line at the bank depositing my last check from a poorly executed good idea of a bike shop when I hear the teller ask the person ahead of me, "Is there any reason you aren't participating in the Keep the Change Program?" After which he searched for how to respond and came up with a few shoulder shrugs. Then she says, "It's free money."
My turn and she asks me, "Is there any reason you aren't participating in the Keep the Change Program?" Having time to formulate an answer, I respond loudly with, "You're not the boss of me!"
Mark your calendar for the Full Moon Fiasco 11. It will be Monday May 19th. We will meet at the Pear Tree Inn at 8:00p.m. and ride around a while. Probably ending up downtown for some more beverages.
The Prom Ride will be Saturday May 31st. The prom committee has been busy planning the festivities. Put on your best, buy that special someone a corsage and throw yourselves on bikes for a tour of downtown. It will be earlier than the Fiascos so the onlookers can see our fancy duds.
Anybody need a bike mechanic?
